Worship & Music Ministries

At Clearwater, we believe it is highly important to sing God-centered songs. We make it a priority to carefully choose songs that are biblical and encourage people to give glory to God while growing closer to one another. We sing a broad range of types of songs, ranging from ancient hymns to contemporary praise songs. We believe that God has inspired people to write songs about Him throughout history - including today. Therefore, we want to sing God-honoring songs both old and new. Moreover, we incorporate a variety of different instruments and musical styles during our services. We like to think of music as an avenue to communicate to God and express to Him how thankful we are for His love.

Numerous passages throughout the Bible indicated that it is God’s desire for His people to worship Him in various ways. Yet, each passage is very clear that regardless of the manner or method in which we worship, the central recipient of our worship is to be God. God is our audience!

Consider what the Bible says about music:

“Let the Word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your heart to God.” Colossians 3:16

“Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of the godly ones.” Psalm 149:1
